Crazy House....

I'm living in a crazy house... not crazy people... wait a minute,  let me think about that.  hmmm Ok,  not crazy people,  crazy animals.  One cat, Shirley.  She usually only talks to R.  But when he's here, she doesn't shut up talking to him.  At night,  if he's in the bathroom,  she's  waiting.  She has thought of another thing or two to talk to him about.  Believe me  it's a one sided conversation, until she gets louder and louder.  Then he says something, not so nice,  and she's happy.  Not another word from her.  I know she's smiling.

Then there's the two dogs.  Herbert & Sweetie.  Herbert is 5 lbs. of long haired Chihuahua. Thinks he is bad. Then there's Sweetie.  6lbs,  3 legged Chihuahua + Rat Terrier.  He isn't aware there's a leg missing.  He is the boss,  he thinks.

Then there's that crazy chicken,  Ethel.  She's the one.  She is alpha chicken/dog/cat/whoever.  Bring 'em on.  She's a Golden Seabright,  weighs about a pound,  if she's fluffed up,  maybe a pound and a half.  She's crazy.  As far as I know,  she has never laid an egg.  She talks about it,  but the egg never shows up.  When she's in a bad mood,  she crows.  Well,  let's just say she tries to crow.  Sounds more like she's being choked.

Her new entertainment is tormenting the dogs.  If she sees them on the porch, or in the yard,  she thinks it's her duty to kick them off that porch.  Those two brave dogs start crying/howling/crying to come in the house NOW.  Not later,  NOW!!!  If I don't show up in time,  she has them jumping off the porch, into flower beds, down the steps, where ever.  They are jumping/running for their lives.  She usually decides they don't need to be in that yard either.  It's not a pretty picture.

R said the last time he got between her and those brave dogs,  she turned and pecked him.  Obviously R was confused on which side he is on.  Or that's what I think Ethel was thinking.  I can't be sure.  As I'm always on Ethel's side.  I am not stupid.  She rules.

Yes,  Ethel.  Of course I put more photos of you.... jeez...

All of the above crazy animals/pets/live-ins can be seen on YouTube, (except R).  Leave a comment please.  They think they're famous.

I love this post, PJ! I used to have 2 banny roosters, Darrell and his other brother Darrell. They were the best watch dogs. They did not like men and would chase them, nipping at their heels. One time my plumber called me at work to tell me they were chasing his partner across the yard and would not let them near the house. I had to come home and let them in. he he Tickles me to think about them.

Beth that is a great story... and a little scary. If Ethel gets bored with the dogs, what's next?! She'll be stopping cars in front of our house. Oh, no! The UPS guy. He brings me presents.... giggles
