art quilt WIPs

Let's see... I've got so much to tell and show,  can't make up my mind where to start.  giggles  First I'll show some WIPs I've been working on.

These are two art quilts that have been painted.  Drying them like this speeds up the process.
The gessoed lids at the top are another project.  I had misplaced these in the old studio.  Found them searching for something else.  Isn't that always the way...

These are two canvases that I covered with pages out of an old church hymnal.  I'll paint over them, but let the text/music show through.  It makes a fun and interesting background.

.
The cat waiting to be machine quilted.  I got him about half way.  I'll take more photos of him tomorrow.  The machine work takes forever,  but is so worth it in the end.  I love orange cats,  don't you?  They're always spunky and full of themselves.

The tall shelving on the left is new.  It holds a ton of stuff.  Before I had a leaning bookcase there.
It was a piece of junk.  R was trying to get it down without tearing up the whole room.  Ha!  The bottom part seemed to be stable,  so it's sitting on the right hand side in front of my painting table. Before I had 2 tables.  Ended up taking up too much floor space.  So I decided I needed more storage.

I moved my buttons from the shelves below to the back of my sewing table.  Doesn't sound very important,  huh?   To tell the truth... my favorite fabrics were in a basket on the top shelf below.  I tend to not use supplies I can't see.  So,  those buttons were right where I wanted my best fabics.  Time to move. lol  Now I'm happy.
That cart under the fabric shelves,  right beside my sewing table is so convient.  All the thread, bobbins, sequins, and beads in one place.

I hope to show you more tomorrow.  Especially something new I designed.
