I'm thinking this is a cubby hole, because you can put anything in it. I dreamed this up after seeing a small clear box with only 4 spaces for pens. Yes, that one was on Pinterest.
So I came up with this idea. It's 3 inch PVC pipe. It's cut the length of a normal pen, then sanded. Used PVC glue to hold the tubes together, then put a piece of wire for an extra hold. Next I want to do a cardboard back. That way I could easily move it to where ever I'm working on my art journals.
Almost forgot. Spray painted it white so it would make it easier to see the colors of the pens. I used it today. Works so nice. It's on the shelving right behind me at my paint/work table.
No more pens rolling around or digging in my pen case for the right type of pen. It's handy, and doesn't look bad. I didn't want to pay money for something that held only a few pens. I can see a lot more uses for this basic idea.
Six inch pipe would make a large enough hole to put all kinds of supplies in. If I didn't have one already, I'd be building one of these to fit glue guns, glue sticks, hammers, clamps, screw drivers, sponges, stamps, etc.
I finished machine quilting the orange cat today. That was about 3 am. lol Couldn't sleep, so I worked in the studio most of the night. I love that. I love that my studio is right out of my bedroom door.
Then this afternoon I did some bead work on it. Sort of framed it with beads. Can't wait to show you tomorrow.
Have a nice evening. xo
